Introduction to Conference Diplomacy

Governments and increasingly other actors such as international and non-governmental organizations use multilateral conferences as a means to achieve important policy objectives. This workshop will help diplomats enhance their performance as a conference delegate, and as a result contribute to the overall efficiency and productiveness of conferences.

Workshop on Diplomatic Protocol in Geneva

Member States of the United Nations draft, discuss, negotiate, table and eventually adopt resolutions in the General Assembly, the Security Council and the Economic and Social Council. This training familiarizes participants with the adoption process and structure of resolutions and allows them to understand or take a more active role in the work of the principal organs of the United Nations.

Drafting and Adopting United Nations Resolutions

This course will allow participants to build the requisite knowledge and skills to draft and adopt UN resolutions. A detailed study of the content, structure and processes involved in passing resolutions will reinforce an understanding of decision-making at the UN. Drafting assignments will enable the participant to more effectively articulate and communicate his/her governmental or organizational interests within UN processes.

Public Diplomacy in a Multipolar World

This online course aims to provide diplomats and public officials with an idea of the strategic significance of public diplomacy in the past and future.
